Injury Bug
The last couple of weeks I’ve been spending alot of time working on another one of my blogs and have missed some opportunities to discuss some things here. Indeed, alot has happened in Mets world the last couple of weeks and as all jaded long time Mets fans it leads me to think if this […]
Talk, Talk, Talk
With the non-waiver trade deadline looming there’s alot of talk going on about possible trades in baseball. The loudest talk about deals involving the Mets have centered on Dontrelle Willis and Barry Zito. I agree with the idea from which those rumors got their legs. The idea is that rather than get a starter for […]
Alou Plays Savior For Giants
My hatred of west coast night games has been discussed before so I won’t get into it now besides to say I hate them. Now that I got that out of the way… The Mets helped prove that Barry Bonds is not the only person on the Giants who can win games.

The Mets traded starting pitcher Kris Benson to the Orioles for Jorge Julio and John Maine yesterday. Benson’s wife, Anna, had some things to say about it, as usual. Here’s a sampling:
Beltran In, Piazza Out
Click here for a recap of last night’s game. As one player returned from an injury another player was forced to take some time off because of one. Carlos Beltran returned to the lineup and went 1 for 2 with 2 walks. But then it was revealed that Mike Piazza will need at least a […]
Tough Day
Click here for a recap of last night’s game. As I predicted yesterday, Tom Glavine pitched well enough to win (7 IP, 9 H, 2 ER). Unfortunately fate had other plans. In the bottom of the 7th inning Carlos Beltran and Mike Cameron dived at the same ball in right center and collided with each […]
