Heilman Throws One Away

Yesterday the Mets announced that the starting rotation for the Milwaukee series this weekend will be Jeremi Gonzalez, Jose Lima and Pedro Martinez. One has to wonder if that affected Aaron Heilman‘s performance last night.



Zambran Oh No!

In the second inning of yesterday’s game Víctor Zambrano was visited on the mound by manager Willie Randolph. Randolph asked the hurler how he was feeling. Zambrano replied that he was fine. Randolph left the mound and let Zambrano continue pitching. The next two pitches would be Zambrano’s last of the year.

Pedro and Vernon Wells To Sit Out First Round of WBC

Today’s Newsday is reporting that Mets ace Pedro Martinez will not pitch in the first round of the World Baseball Classic (WBC). He hopes to play in later rounds if he feels up to it. This comes on the heels of Toronto Blue Jays outfielder



Notes from the First Day of Camp

Not much to report beyond the normal first day of spring training happenings. It was the usual getting to meet the new guys and catching up with the old guys routine that happens the first day of spring training every year. Pedro Martinez finally learned that
