Mets & Rockies To Make Another Trade?
According to a report by Ken Rosenthal at Foxsports.com the Mets are in discussions with the Colorado Rockies to acquire backup catcher Danny Ardoin and infielder Luis Gonzalez. I guess the thought process on Ardoin is that with Ramon Castro on the shelf and Mike DiFelice being mostly useless what has Omar Minaya have to […]

So Long, Kaz
On Friday I mentioned a report by Ken Rosenthal at Foxsports.com about the possibility that the Mets would trade Kazuo Matsui to the Colorado Rockies for Eli Marrero. On Staurday morning I opened up the newspaper to see that Ken’s report was spot on.
Weekend Notes
It was definitley an interesting weekend for the Mets. The VÃctor Zambrano incident on Friday, John Maine‘s visit to the DL and a renegade umpire in the weekend finally against the Braves. Renegade umpire?

Rumor has it that the Mets will sign Mark Grudzielanek on Thursday. Why wait until then? The deadline for existing teams to offer salary arbitration will have passed and the Mets will not be required to give St. Louis a draft pick to compensate for the signing. What does this mean for Kazuo Matsui? I […]
Wagner’s a Met!
The Mets closed out Thanksgiving weekend by giving their fans something to be thankful for. For the second year in a row the Mets have landed the most sought after free agent on the market. Last year it was Pedro Martinez and Carlos Beltran. This year it’s Billy Wagner. The team will hold a press […]
A Year Later, The Mets Bag Delgado
It’s been a while since I wrote but yesterday’s trade was so big it merits some discussion. When the Mets traded Mike Cameron to the Padres last week for Xavier Nady it was accepted mainly for the cost cutting aspects of it. Nady is not nearly as accomplished as Cameron and the Mets used the […]
