Mets Undefeated… Sort Of
According to Mark Simon at ESPN the Mets have gone 12-0 on Tuesday home games this season. Too bad they couldn’t spread that around to some other days as well. More interesting stats from Simon can be found in his post on ESPN.com’s Mets Blog.
The Post Welcomes The Frillies
I don’t normally like this kind of gamesmanship or journalism but the New York Post sported a front page today where they referred to the the Phillies as the Frillies and a Photoshoped picture of Shane Victorino in a skirt. A treat for any Mets fan (always) and any Yankees fan (this week).
Pregame Note
Doug Davis, tonight’s scheduled starter for the Diamondbacks, has allowed just four runs in his last 19 innings pitched over his past three starts. He’ll be facing Mike Pelfrey who is making his first start since the birth of his first child who he named after the venue for tonight’s game, Chase Field.
Lost Weekend
