Mets reliever Scott Schoeneweis avoided suspension yesterday when MLB announced that
Jose Guillen and Jay Gibbons would be suspended for the first 15 days of the 2008 season for receiving shipments of human growth hormone (HGH). MLB decided that there was insufficient evidence to suspend Schoeneweis.
