Mitchell Report May (or May Not) Name Names
It has been rumored that the long awaited report on illegal substance use in baseball by George Mitchell will be released after the world series. Though it was previously reported that the report will contain names of offenders former senator Mitchell has now said that it has been undecided if the report will contain names.
I don’t see why there’s even a question about this. I was taught from a very young age that actions have repercussions and you need to answer for your actions. The players who have used these substances and those who deal in them know this too. They’ve danced. Now they’ve got to pay the piper. So by all means, senator Mitchel, put their names in the report. This has nothing to do with the publics right to know and everything to do with showing people that there are actual repercussions to the wrongs that they do.
