Jets Get A Running Back
Shifting gears to football. The Jets engineered a trade for Chicago Bears running back Thomas Jones. This deal is tremendous. The Jets also swapped second round picks with the Bears so they essentially got an All Pro running back in exchange for the opportunity to draft higher in the second round of the draft. What a steal! The trade is pending a physical and contract extension. The extension is likely to be expensive but well worth it for s ateal like this. Congrats to Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum on pulling this deal off.
