Reyes is Also a Deity
A couple of weeks ago I praised David Wright. He’s been great all year and gets better every time I watch him.
Now it’s Jose Reyes‘s turn. He had two consecutive 4 hit games this weekend, has had 4 hit games in 3 of the last 4 and has a 13 game hit streak going in which he raised his average from .246 to .302. Ok, he’s a leadoff guy so average doesn’t tell the whole story. His on base percentage is up to .361. In the last 7 days he’s batting .613/.613/1.032 with 10 runs, 3 doubles, 2 triples, 2 home runs, 4 stolen bases and an OPS of 1.645. Has has gotten hits in hist first at bat in the last 7 games (including a double and 2 homers) and scored in 4 of them. He is absolutely on fire.
