I Can See (Second Base) Clearly Now
Kazuo Matsui has been placed on the disabled list. Jeff Keppinger has been sent to the minors. Bret Boone has retired. And the last man standing is Anderson Hernandez.
What started out as a four man race to start at second base for the Mets has ended with rookie Hernandez getting the nod. This is in no small part due to Matsui’s injury but Willie Randolph has said that if Hernandez is hot when Matsui is ready to return it will be Hernandez spot to lose.
