Roger McDowell Profiled in USA Today
Mel Antonen has a good column in USA Today about former Met relief pitcher and current enemy, er, I mean current Atlanta Braves pitching coach Roger McDowell. It seems like most people think he’ll be a great coach. It looks like the Mets loss is the Braves gain. It’ll be interesting to see how the Atlanta staff does under his watch.
There’s also a nice sidebar about Terry Pendleton’s home run against McDowell in the 1987 season that many say cost the Mets the division that year.
