Rickey, Rice Elected to Hall
Congratulations to short time Mets player and coach Rickey Henderson and former Boston Red Sox outfielder Jim Rice on being elected to the hall of fame!
When asked how he felt about getting into the hall of fame Henderson replied in typical Rickey fashion “I feel great about it. It’s been a long time coming.” This was, of course, Henderson’s first year of eligibility.
How do you think Henderson’s comment made Rice feel? Rice was in his 15th and final year of eligibility to be voted into the hall by the Baseball Writers Association of America.
