ARod Regrets 24+1
In today’s New York Daily News John harper writes about Alex Rodriguez and his decision to go to Texas for $252 million in 2000 instead of coming to play for the Mets.
Though ARod has regrets about not playing for the Mets I can say that I do not. I agreed with the 24+1 idea that then general manager Steve Phillips said he was trying to avoid. But now that we’re several years removed two other reasons have surfaced to be glad that ARod didn’t sign with the Mets. They are Jose Reyes and David Wright.
