Milledge and Pérez Shine
Lastings Milledge kept up his flair for the big play yesterday when he doubled in two runs in the second inning yesterday. The runs gave the Mets a 3-0 lead in an eventual 5-2 win. The pitching hero was Oliver Perez. Coming off the disabled list Perez allowed 6 hits and two earned runs while walking 2 and striking out 6 in 6.0 innings. The lefty is now 8-6 with a 3.13 ERA and 91 Ks in 100.2 innings.
