Click here for a recap of last night’s game.

Mets first baseman Carlos Delgado celebrated fatherhood in high style last night. Delgado, who became father to a baby boy last week, smacked a two run double in the third inning to give Tom Glavine his first win of the season and number 291 of his career by a score of 6-1 over defending the world champion St. Louis Cardinals. Other highlights included Carlos Beltran throwing out David Eckstein at the plate in the in the sixth.

I’m going to say this now because I don’t know if I’m going to get a chance to say it again later (although I hope I do). The Mets have the best record in baseball!
