Wright In Camp Early
As I mentioned yesterday pitchers and catchers report to spring training later this week. Hitters aren’t required to show up until next week. But that didn’t stop David Wright from taking BP yesterday. According to reports Wright has already reported to St. Lucie and is very enthusiastic about the coming season. Said Wright:
If you look at the pieces that Omar put together this offseason, if you look on paper right now, we have a tremendous opportunity….
We understand we have the tools. Now we have to put those tools to good use. But we definitely have the tools and we definitely have the right pieces.
Let’s hope his teammates pick up on Wright’s enthusiasm.
