Mets and Yanks to Make a Deal?

Joel Sherman reports in today’s New York Post that the Mets and Yankees are discussing a blockbuster deal the centerpiece of which is Mike Cameron for Gary Sheffield. I’m like the idea of this trade depending on what spare parts are built into it. Cameron would get a chance to play his natural and preffered position and Sheffield would give the Mets a solid bat to put in the middle of their order and solidify an outfield that could then be called among the best in the majors. Sherman calls his story and exclusive and quotes GMs from both the NL and AL as his anonymous sources. It’ll be interesting to see if and how this developes.
